Gargoyle

Gargoyle comes from the French word ‘gargouille’ meaning throat. Gargoyles are simply elaborate waterspouts, carved in the form of a grotesque face, figure or frightening creature.

Gargoyles were designed to represent, or ward off evil.  It was thought that the medieval church wanted to instill fear about hell, and so offer sanctity inside.

Every gargoyle is unique.
